TRAINING

AREQUIPA DAY CAMP ADULT TRAINING
ALL volunteers will need to attend required training, whether you are a full- or part-time volunteer. The purpose of day camp training is to prepare each staff member with sufficient leadership skills, knowledge of the program, understanding of child development and confidence to do the job. Training is fun, easy and teaches you valuable skills while bonding with your other unit members.

adults at camp A total of SIX hours of training in TWO TRAINING SESSIONS is required of ALL full- and part-time volunteers, as well as all girl aides. The trainings posted below are MANDATORY. Directors also may require session-specific trainings.

1. MEET YOUR DIRECTOR & UNIT and
CAMP SKILLS TRAINING
SUNDAY, April 21, 9am- about 3pm
New volunteers and new girl aides spend the entire day; experienced volunteers can attend their session-specific Meet Your Director & Unit section:
Session I - Meet Your Director & Unit: 9:00-10:30. Additional training for new volunteers will be TBA.
Session II - Meet Your Director & Unit: 10:45-12:15. Additional training for new volunteers will be TBA.
Session V - Meet Your Director & Unit: . Additional training for new volunteers will be TBA.
Session III - Meet Your Director & Unit: 12:30-2:00. Additional training for new volunteers will be TBA.
Session IV - Meet Your Director & Unit: 2:15-3:45. Additional training for new volunteers will be TBA.
Of course, experienced volunteers are welcome to stay the entire day and get to know your "team!"

2. SITE SAFETY - 10am-2:30pm SATURDAY, June 15 - for Session I
SUNDAY, June 23 - for Session II
WEDNESDAY, April 24 - for Session V
SUNDAY, July 7 - for Session III
SUNDAY, July 14 - for Session IV
You come ONLY the Saturday before the session you are working.
